A Letter from Pastor Keith

Saturday, December 6, 2025

The beautiful mess of the church is that we are reminded we are not meant to walk through life alone. We are invited—maybe even told—to

“cast all our burdens on Christ.”

The body of Christ in the world is the church

It is the sacred and fragile space where each of us can lay down what we carry.

If we believe this, then as your pastor I must model it by being willing to share my own burden, which is this:

We are currently $100k behind in our operating budget.

Yes, we have reserves.

No, the church is not going to close.

However, unless we take steps to address this burden, our leadership will have to make significant decisions about how we adjust our budget going forward.

New Creation began as a courageous venture in Sumner County—a place for families to wrestle with their faith, to be embraced by community, to love and be loved by Jesus, and to step into a journey shaped by the way of Jesus.

We are a radically welcoming community seeking to be a light in a world that can often feel very dark.

I believe our larger community needs a church like this for our neighbors.
I believe that whether you attend New Creation or not, you sense the importance of this church holding space in our community.
And I believe in miracles that begin in the ordinary—which is why I love Christmas.

God steps into the ordinary and reminds us that even in heaviness, we can still Rejoice.”

I am not sure what comes next, but I wait with eager expectation to see how God uses each of us.

So, I am asking you to sit with me in this burden I carry, because that’s what Jesus calls us to do.

—Keith

If you also believe that our community needs—or that you need—New Creation Church, would you prayerfully consider how you might be able to contribute?

If you would like to help carry the financial burden required for New Creation Church to operate, there are several way you can donate:

You might also consider setting up an ongoing contribution, giving a set amount each month. You can do this by submitting an ACH form to make automatic bank deposits. See Pastor Keith or a Vision Team member for more info, or pick up a copy of the ACH form on the donut table this Sunday. 🍩
